New coordinates for Switzerland

The coordinates based on the national survey from 1903 still used today show inaccuracies of two to three m between Geneva and the Lower Engadine Valley. Thanks to the satellite-assisted methods of surveying like the Global Positioning System (GPS), the national survey has been improved. As a result precise coordinates for the surveying control points have emerged.
