Free geodata

The geographic information strategy aims to increase the availability of high quality geographic information for management, business and individuals.

Following the entry into force of the new Ordinance on the Remuneration of the Federal Office of Topography (GebV-swisstopo) on 1 January 2010, Article 3, Paragraph 2 of the ordinance stipulates that “The Federal Office of Topography may waive remuneration for certain official services...”.

In order to promote the use of geodata, swisstopo make the following numerical data available free of charge:
