PCMAP Swissline

 PCMAP Swissline

With PCMAP Swissline you always have the right conditions for special orientation and situation portrayal. The combination of software and maps makes PCMAP Swissline a versatile tool that enables the user to compile a map comfortably. PCMAP Swissline consists of the two components: the PCMAP Swissline software and the maps, SAMBA databases.

Software
The PCMAP Swissline application provides us with the tools to make the maps and edit them. Swissline was configured with the MilGeo PCMAP and the EADS product Geogrid-SitView and adjusted to meet the special Swiss requirements.

Swissline
Swissline specifically takes the requirements for portraying military situations in the Swiss Armed Forces into account The corresponding NATO symbols have also been integrated. With Swissline it is possible to portray and visualise situations simply despite their complexity.

SAMBA
The best software is worth nothing without data. The map data of PCMAP Swissline is designated as SAMBA (Swiss Army Map BAse). All map data relevant to Switzerland has been integrated into the basic SAMBA database. For special requirements or areas of interest, special SAMBA databases have been prepared that we call operational data.

PCMAP Swissline makes it possible to portray the situation and make simple terrain analyses within a short time. This may be a differentiation of altitudinal belts or inclination of terrain. A special feature of PCMAP Swissline is a virtual flight through a 3-dimensional map. Flight through the 3-D portrayal of a specific situation is also possible.

Basically, PCMAP Swissline is available to the armed forces and cannot be purchased by civilian clients.
