First steps...

A traditional paper map sheet measures 70 x 48 cm. The digital representation is sized 7000 x 4800 pixels. With Swiss Map Mobile, a map sheet is divided up into 840 squared tiles of 200 x 200 pixels. These tiles are the unit which is used for the accounting in Swiss Map Mobile 2009.

The screen of the iPhone measures 480 x 320 pixels. For a full display at 100% zoom, 6 to 9 map tiles are necessary.
