Frequently asked questions - Windows Mobile

Swiss Map Mobile Windows Mobile Edition is designed for (GPS-) Windows Mobile PDAs running Windows Mobile 5 or 6.

If your device is  not  in the list of compatible devices please download and test the demo version of the application on your device before placing any orders in the toposhop. Install and start the application on your device to ensure that everything functions properly (especially check the GPS functionality of the application if there's a GPS module built in your device).


The following devices have been successfully tested by swisstopo regarding compatibility:

- HP iPaq 914c (WM 6.1)

- HTC HD2 (WM 6.5 Pro)
- HTC Touch Diamond (WM 6.1 Pro)
- HTC Touch Cruise (WM 6)
- HTC P3600 Trinity (WM 5)

- Sony Ericsson Xperia (WM 6.1 Pro)

The following devices are compatible according to our customers' feedback:

- HTC Touch Diamond2 (WM 6.1 Pro)
- HTC Touch HD (WM 6.1)
- HTC Touch2
- HTC HD mini
- HTC Touch Pro
- HTC Touch Pro2 (WM 6.1)
- HTC TyTN / QTEK 9600 (WM 5)

- Magellan Mobile Mapper 6 (WM 6)

- Samsung Omnia i900 (WM 6.1 Pro)
- Samsung Omnia II I8000

The following devices are NOT compatible according to our customers' feedback:

- E-Ten Glofiish M800
