This is already the fourth version of Swiss Map 50, which includes the Swiss National Maps 1:50 000 and 1:200 000. Because it uses the same technology as Swiss Map 25 and Swiss Map 100, it is therefore compatible with the Mac OS.

New additions are ski routes, areas with slopes steeper than 30°, protected areas and a height model with which individual terrain profiles can be computed and represented. Swiss Map 50 can be used to show political and administrative boundaries, SAC-huts, youth hostels, friends-of-nature-houses and fireplaces of the "Schweizer Familie". The diversity of the graphic tools makes it possible to enter individual routes or to add personal data to a map.

The map image of Swiss Map 50 is equivalent to that of the printed map and the individually selectable map extracts can be easily printed and exported. The connection to Garmin and Magellan receivers via USB and a serial interface, as well as the compatibility to Swiss Map 25 / 100 and Dufour Map are guaranteed.
