swisstopo geoservices WMS
With the swisstopo WMS geoservices product you have a simple means of integrating national maps, aerial photos and other swisstopo geodata into your geographical information system (GIS).
Who can benefit from swisstopo WMS geoservices?
With swisstopo WMS geoservices, specialist GIS agencies, engineering bureaux and other users of geographical information systems (GIS) have at their disposal a service which allows them to access the most up-to-date data and maps from swisstopo, without having to archive them locally and organise a complex and costly data storage and follow-up.
The service can be used with all current GIS. See "Further information".
Scope
swisstopo WMS geoservices conform to the international Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) standard, which is implemented in the most common GIS solutions and is easy to use.

Data and maps
Im swisstopo geoservices WMS sind bislang folgende Layer verfügbar:
- National maps 1:25,000 up to 1:1,000,000 (black & white, colour, follow-up year)
- SWISSIMAGE (incl. year of flight and resolution)
- Historical maps (Siegfried Map, Dufour Map)
- swissBOUNDARIES3D (national, cantonal, district and municipal borders)
