GeoSuite

Available from 11th june 2012

GeoSuite is the new main geodetic software of swisstopo.

In fact, it is a suite of calculation, file editing and data visualizing tools, which are grouped in one modern and efficient application. It is aslo optimized for the latest computers and operating systems.

This product will finally replace all existing programs.

  • Open files in tabs
  • Supported formats editable in a table, other formats in text mode
  • Good readability and simple edition due to tooltips, selection lists, value ranges
  • Find/replace, sorting
  • Copy/paste (internally and externally, for example from/to spreadsheet application or text editor)
  • Improt and export, conversions
  • Update/calculate values
  • Undo/redo
  • Print preview
  • Selected points located on a map (Internet connection required)
  • File comparison
  • Optimization for multi-task

 

Calculations

  • Transition of reference frames (REFRAME) - module subject to fee
  • Transformations and interpolations (TRANSINT), incl. with triangular networks (FINELTRA / FINELTRA-LITE) - module subject to fee
  • Generation of interpolation grid (for REFRAME or TRANSINT)
  • Files comparison, calculation of differences (KOORDIFF)
  • Graphical representation (support points, calculation parameters, results, vectors) and DXF export
  • Detailed messages and warnings displayed
  • HTML logs
  • Automated batch operations and subsequent calculations

Additional modules later (end of 2012):

  • 3D transformation / change of map projection (GEOREF) - module subject to fee
  • Network adjustment and graphical representation of networks (LTOP and PLANETZ) - module subject to fee
