Our office supports people, projects and developments just as much as innovation and collaboration with other federal offices, with cantons, with institutions, with organisations or even with elements of the private sector. We support a considerable number of cooperative ventures of this sort whose results for us are a regular source of pride. The new sheet “1306 Sion” produced for the geological Atlas of Switzerland is an iconic example. It is a collective undertaking in which each of the participants (the canton of Valais, the Research Center on Alpine Environment (Crealp), Lausanne University, the private geologist office, swisstopo) makes a key contribution to its success. This and other similar projects are covered in this new annual report.
