- Determination, maintenance, renewal, updating and documentation of the existing control frameworks (LV95 national GPS network, LHN95 national height network, earlier first to third order triangulation networks, the previous LN02 national levelling network) and of national boundary surveys. These activities ensure the provision of a homogeneous geodetic basis of the required quality and with sufficient density to meet all the needs of land surveying (and of navigation) within Switzerland
- Verification of control surveys for the Swiss cadastre (category 2 plan and height control points, LFP2 / HFP2) under contract from the Federal Directorate of Cadastral Surveying
- Evaluation, procurement and maintenance of all survey instrumentation for the whole of Geodesy Division
- Maintenance and update of control network diagrams and the database of the control point data service
- Support and consulting of internal and external customers concerning the introduction of new survey instrumentation and techniques
