Surveying / Geodesy
Reference systems
European and Swiss reference systems and map projections as a basis for the Swiss national survey as well as the cadastral survey.
Control networks
Geodetic control networks (LV95 / LHN95) of the new satellite-based national survey. Existing geodetic control networks for position (triangulation, LV03), height (levelling, LN02) and gravity (LSN2004).
GNSS permanent networks
GNSS permanent networks (EUREF / AGNES) provide highly precise reference frames. International institutions ensure that the different networks are compatible with each other on a long-term basis.
Cadastral Surveying
Within the cadastral survey the terrain surface is measured accurately and reliably using the latest technology. The public data captured in this way, for example property boundary points, the land cover type (notably including buildings, roads, fields, woods and water features) and the height of the terrain, is carefully gathered, scrupulously managed and constantly revised for changes on the ground.
