Behalf of this function swisstopo is contact partner for:
- the Civil GPS Service Interface Committee (CGSIC) , a national American commitee, which stands up world-wide for requests of the civilian GPS users.
- civilian GPS-users in Switzerland.
In this function swisstopo is open to interested users for questions concerning the use of GPS and takes care about institutional questions and engages themselves in the context of the Swiss Institute for navigation (ION-CH) for the interests of navigation in Switzerland. Besides swisstopo also has a seat in the interdepartemental coordination committee for space questions (IKAR) of the federal administration.
