Transformation grids
For applications with GPS or GIS software, the CHENyx06 dataset is available in form of regular grids as well.
Grids for GPS software
For applications in GPS software - or directly in GPS receivers - we developped a regular transformation grid out of the CHENyx06 dataset for several producers. This grid has a resolution of 1 by 1 km and can be obtained directly from the software producers. For possible differences with the strict FINELTRA algorithm and some restrictions in the use of the grids, see the corresponding notes.
NTv2 grid for GIS software
Transformation grids in the NTv2 format (National Transformation, Version 2) is supported by many GIS systems. We developped such a grid for Switzerland with a resolution of 30x30 arc seconds out of the CHENyx06 dataset. This grid can be downlaoded free of charge.
The download contains the NTv2 grid in text form (CHENYX06.asc) as well as in the binary form for MSWindows systems (CHENYX06.gsb). For use and installation of this grid see the manual of your GIS system.
