Federal Directorate of Cadastral Surveying
The Federal Directorate of Cadastral Surveying is the federal agency responsible for the official cadastral survey. It is the supreme supervisory authority for the official cadastral survey. Just as the cantons also have their own agencies, the Federal Directorate of Cadastral Surveying is the federal agency. It is therefore responsible, for example, for regulations.
Tasks
The tasks of the Federal Directorate of Cadastral Surveying include the following:
- Implementation of the official cadastral surveying strategies issued by the head of the Federal Department of Defense, Civil Protection and Sport.
- Planning, management and supervision of official cadastral surveying in close cooperation with the cantons.
- Further development of official cadastral surveying in line with new technical and organizational developments.
- Providing technical supervision of cadastral surveying at the request of the cantons. At present, this includes the cantons of Appenzell Innerrhoden, Appenzell Ausserrhoden, Glarus, Nidwalden, Obwalden, Uri and Jura, as well as the Principality of Liechtenstein.
