swipos-NAV - Navigation corrections

swipos-NAV enables the reception of navigation corrections via a mobile data connection. The correction data are calculated from the data of the Automatic GNSS Network Switzerland (AGNES) and allow a GNSS positioning accuracy of up to half a meter with high-end devices in perfect conditions. 

swipos-NAV uses differential GNSS with code correction as technology.

Coverage

swipos-NAV is available throughout Switzerland wherever GNSS and mobile data (e.g. 4G or 5G) reception is possible.

For applications requiring pan-European coverage, the Galileo EGNOS cooperation agreement or, in the near future, the free Galileo High Accuracy Service (HAS) will be available.

Equipment

Ideally, a GNSS receiver with an integrated mobile data module is required to use swipos-NAV. External mobile data modules can only be used if the firmware of the GNSS receiver supports the control of such a module.

Comments

  • The accuracy specifications are based on the mean annual standard deviations of test measurements at swisstopo.
  • The measurement accuracy can vary in time, location and due to atmospheric influences.
