Gubrist gets third tube

Our geodata are continuously being updated. The «Third tube of Gubrist Tunnel» project is now complete and the changes are already visible on our online maps.

After six years of construction, the third tube of the Gubrist Tunnel was opened on April 15.

In futuro, tutto il traffico in direzione Berna/Basilea passerà attraverso il nuovo tunnel a tre corsie. Le due canne esistenti trasportano il traffico in direzione opposta. La costruzione aggiuntiva ha lo scopo di alleviare la situazione del traffico al Gubristtunnel. Una costruzione eccezionale: non esiste in Svizzera un altro tunnel con un diametro di quasi 16 metri!
