Did you know that there are more than 1200 peaks between 2000 and 3000 metres in Graubünden?

According to the product swissNAMES3D, more than 1200 peaks lie between 2000 and 3000 metres in altitude in the canton of Graubünden. That is twice as many as in the canton of Valais and even three times as many as in the canton of Uri.

But the canton of Uri holds the record for the highest peak density of peaks over 2000 metres, with one peak per 2.5 km2.

In the second place is the canton of Glarus with one peak per 3.5 km2. The cantons of Valais and Graubünden are in third place with one peak per 4.3 km2.
