There are 2187 named passes in the products swissTLM3D and swissNAMES3D, thereof 120 road passes. Half of those passes are in the alpine cantons Grisons and Valais. The Silbersattel at 4519 meters above sealevel is the highest of them. The highest road pass is the Pass Umbrail (GR) followed by the Nufenenpass (TI)
