Cadastral Surveying
The Swiss cadastral survey safeguards landownership and is the basis for numerous other geographic information tools and applications for both professional and private use.

Landownership in Switzerland is secured thanks to geometric data that are collected and updated within the scope of the cadastral survey. Cadastral surveying data also form the basis for a broad variety of geographic information systems, including urban, local and zoning plans, as well as for other applications for use in the economy, the public sector and private life. In their entirety, these data form a national product for which uniform standards have been defined.
