A new map of the Geological Atlas of Switzerland 1:25 000
The Geological Atlas of Switzerland provides detailed information on both consolidated rocks and unconsolidated sediments within the upper layers of the subsurface.
The area depicted on the new Reichenau sheet of the Atlas also has a turbulent recent history, marked by two catastrophic events: around 9,400 years ago, the Tamins rockslide occurred, followed around 8,900 years ago by the Flims rockslide, the largest post-glacial rockslide in the Alps.
