Transportation network CH

The geodata backbone for efficient and networked mobility

What is at issue?

Switzerland's mobility system is to become more flexible, more intelligent and more sustainable - in other words, more efficient to use. There is still great potential here: the better networked the mobility system is and the more accessible the information is, the more efficiently it can be used which also translates into a greater added value of the investments made in the physical infrastructure.

The Transportation network CH optimises and expands the transport data infrastructure of the public sector, provides reliable basic data, and makes the data on transport infrastructure and mobility combinable and broadly usable. In this way, it reduces redundancies and promotes innovation. Thus, the Transportation network CH generates manifold benefits for the public sector, for the economy and for society.

The project Transportation network CH is currently in a concept and pilot phase. The feasibility of the project is being examined, a detailed concept for the realisation and operationalisation is being drawn up and pilot applications for the Transportation network CH are being implemented.

Please see the Downloads and Links sections for more information on the project and the first test implementations.
