Search with approximate entries for building addresses

For some time, the search service was only able to find exact entries for building addresses. The search service has now been corrected.

The search service for building addresses, accessible either via the API or via the search tool in map.geo.admin.ch, once again uses a «fuzzy search» algorithm. What does this mean? The fuzzy search not only finds exact entries, but also approximate ones (“Place de l'Europe, 2000 Neuchâtel” (false) instead of «Espace de l'Europe, 2000 Neuchâtel» (true)).

Some applications benefit from an algorithm such as «fuzzy search». If your application requires an exact entry, you have two options: direct download (Official directory of building addresses) or direct request via STAC API (see technical documentation in chapter 3.2).

N.B: For the API, enter the following URL in your web browser and add the address after the «=».
