Take a journey through time with the swisstopo app

The popular journey through time using the swisstopo map series is now also available in the swisstopo app. Discover your surroundings over time.

You can now follow over 180 years of Switzerland’s map history on your smartphone. You can virtually travel back to 1844, the year of publication of the first Dufour Map. swisstopo provides the national maps in the form of a chronological series online. This makes the restored, digitised and carefully stored cultural heritage accessible to the general public and enhances it.
