Transformations in height

swisstopo offers suitable transformation methods for all applications, either through online services over the Internet or commercially available geodetic software. 

Height transformation LHN95 / LN02

An exact transformation is not possible because of the different nature of the systems (orthometric / levelled heights) and due to the large distortions in LN02. For a number of practical applications, however, an approximated transformation with the REFRAME program and the corresponding parameters is sufficient and, depending on the area, yields approximations to LN02 at a degree of accuracy within the centimetre or decimetre range.
