Wilderswil bypass

Our geodata are continuously being updated. The «Wilderswil bypass» project is now complete and the new routes are already visible on our online maps.

After three years of construction, the Wilderswil bypass was opened on August 19^th 2023.

The village centre is now relieved of the heavy transit trafficinto the Lütschine valleys and the new route will improve safety and quality of life for everyone. Furthermore, the region will benefit from the direct connection to the Airfield Commercial Zone. Additionally, the 540-metre-long road tunnel can also serve as a drainage corridor in the event of severe flooding of the Lütschine River.
