More snow sports in the swisstopo app
The swisstopo app now shows additional information for many ski and snowshoe routes, ski slopes and, in the new Base Map Winter, real-time information about the operating status of cableways and ski lifts.

The swisstopo app now shows additional information on many ski and snowshoe routes, such as difficulty, altitude difference and time for ascent and descent, as well as a link to the route descriptions in the SAC route portal (with costs).
New snow sports layer
The snow sports topic in the swisstopo app now includes ski slopes, divided into the difficulty categories green, blue, red, black and yellow.
Cableways that operate in winter as well as ski lifts are now offered as a separate layer for selection. The same applies to selected winter accommodation that is located on a snow sports route, in valley locations for crossings or in difficult-to-reach starting or finishing points of a tour.
Base Map Winter
Find out which cableways are currently in operation with the new Base Map Winter. The new Base Map Winter is the same as the Base Map, but in a winter colour scheme. It also shows the current operating status of many cableways and ski lifts, as well as information about the facilities, such as seasonal and operating times, contact details and capacity.
