Federal Geological Commission FGC
The Federal Geological Commission (FGC) is a permanent extra-parliamentary commission and neutral expert commission. It advises the Federal Council on geological issues and prepares expert reports and groundwork documents.
EuroGeoSurveys EGS
The heads of the national geological surveys, EuroGeoSurveys (EGS), from 32 countries of Europe meet once a year. The main objective of EGS is to make geological knowledge widely available and thus to promote competitive capacity and protection of the environment in the countries of the EU.
Federal Coordination Body for Geology (KBGeol)
The Federal Coordination Body for Geology (KBGeol) standardises the collection of subsurface data and consolidates cooperation between the authorities, scientists and the private sector.
